Is DIO X available to buy right now?
Not yet. DIO X is currently in a pre-launch phase ahead of its Kickstarter campaign. You can reserve VIP access today for $50, which locks in your discount and priority shipping — the printer itself becomes available to pledge for once the Kickstarter campaign goes live.
Why is the main unit sold through a deposit/pre-order model instead of “buy now”?
DIO X is a new hardware platform, and like most first-run 3D printers, it’s being brought to market through a crowdfunding campaign. This lets us validate real demand, finalize manufacturing at scale, and get the printer into backers’ hands at meaningfully lower pricing than retail — without asking anyone to pay full price for hardware that hasn’t shipped yet. The $50 VIP deposit is fully refundable and simply reserves your discount ahead of the public campaign.
What does the $50 VIP Reservation get me?
It locks in your VIP discount (up to 43% off MSRP), a 30% store credit coupon, priority shipping when mass production begins, and an exclusive printable VIP trophy file.
Is the $50 refundable?
Yes. It’s a deposit, not a final purchase. It’s refunded to your original payment method after the Kickstarter campaign ends.
How do I use my VIP discount?
Register with your email during Pre-Launch, then pledge on Kickstarter with the same email once the campaign launches. Your discount applies automatically to the Super Early Bird tier only — it can’t be combined with the Late Pledge tier.
What if I pay the $50 deposit but decide not to pledge on Kickstarter?
Before the Kickstarter campaign begins, simply email [email protected] to request a refund. Your refund request will only be considered valid once you’ve received confirmation from our team.
When will DIO X ship?
DIO X is targeted to launch between October and November, with the exact date to be announced.
Do filament orders ship separately from DIO X?
Yes. Filaments are already in stock ship on normal fulfillment timelines, independent of the DioX campaign and shipping schedule.
